High Five 2024 in Englewood!

June 10-14 | Mon-Fri 8:00am-3:30pm

Thank you for visiting our High Five 2024 Volunteer Page. We are so excited for what we know the Lord is going to do in the lives of our campers and volunteers, as we set out together for

The Great Treasure Hunt!

I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure!
Psalm 119:162

High Five is a five-day summer camp for ages 5 to entering 6th grade in the fall of 2024. Campers will experience authentic worship, truth-based teaching and choose two exciting electives to participate in for the week. We offer amazing elective choices that are not only incredibly fun but also teach valuable skills they can take with them for a lifetime. At High Five we point to Jesus in everything we do. Our mission is to help children discover God and make Him known in their own personal lives.

Doors open to volunteers (and their campers) at 7:15am. We will serve a light breakfast, prep for the day and begin an all team prayer and announcement session at 8:15. (Prayers and announcements are mandatory for all volunteers)

Campers begin to arrive between 8:30-9:00 am, they will go directly to group programming in the worship center. There, they'll engage in genuine worship, an inspiring skit, and receive faith-filled teachings from 9:00-9:45 am.

From 9:45 am to 11:30 am, campers will dive into their first exciting elective!

Camper lunch break is from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm, campers will remain in their morning electives to enjoy lunch as a group.

Then, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, all campers will gather in the worship center for mid-day programming that sets the stage for an afternoon of fun.

Volunteer lunch is available from 11:30-1:30. Volunteers will need to rotate to make sure campers have supervision before and after lunchtime programming.

Afternoon electives run from 12:30 to 2:30, including group devotional time where campers can share and discuss what they're discovering about their faith.

Parents will begin to arrive at 2:30 for pickup and will head to their camper's second elective to check them out. All campers must be checked out by 3:00, and after cleanup, volunteers should be on their way home by 3:30 each day!

Yes! We want to keep our volunteers fueled and happy! We will serve a light breakfast each morning and provide lunch and snacks for those who volunteer all day.
Absolutely! Camp runs from 7:15-3:30 each day but we have needs before camp begins and after as well. High Five is one of BRAVE’s biggest evangelism and outreach events of the year and many of our volunteers request the week off work to help. While we understand that might be a big request, we hope you’ll prayerfully consider taking a day or two, or even the entire week off work. If that doesn’t align with your schedule, please consider helping us with set-up and/or tear down.

Set Up - June 9th, 12:30-3:00

Tear Down - June 14th, 2:30-5:00

An elective refers to a themed class that campers choose to participate in. When registering, campers select two electives: one for each morning session and a different one after lunch. Our elective options include sports, cooking, science, outdoor skills, crafting, animals, acting, and more! If you have special skills or passions and would like to assist us in designing and leading an elective, please indicate that on your volunteer application.
If you have children under the age of 5 (or not going into Kinder) we offer childcare at no cost! If you have kids going into 7th grade Fall 2024, they can volunteer as a student volunteer.
Please give your attention to modesty! Every volunteer receives a t-shirt upon registration, which is mandatory to wear every day. When completing your volunteer application, we encourage you to consider ordering an additional t-shirt, as having a spare during the week can come in very handy! Make sure to choose comfortable shoes that you can walk the majority of the day in. We ask that you give your attention to modesty when selecting the length of your shorts, ensuring they are no shorter than mid-thigh. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
