AWANA at BRAVE

Building Faith for a Lifetime

Building Faith for a Lifetime.

AWANA is a weekly fun-filled kids’ Bible program for children 2 years through 6 th grade. We have a very exciting year planned that you and your family won’t want to miss! Our AWANA clubs have two goals.

Evangelism

Unwavering commitment to reach the child, the child's family, and the child's friends with the Gospel.

Discipleship

AWANA encourages the children to memorize scripture and apply that same scripture to their lives.

Discipleship occurs as kids develop relationship with loving youth and adults each week. This all happens in an atmosphere of FUN!

AWANA at BRAVE will meet on Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:00 p.m. at our Englewood and Westminster campuses. AWANA begins September 14th and runs through the school year.

Volunteer

We are expecting a large number of clubbers this year, and we need many volunteers to make this a success! In addition to adult volunteers, we also welcome a limited number of junior volunteers grade 7 and older to serve.

We are looking for volunteers who have a passion for the Word of God and for sharing the Love of Christ with children. Because children benefit the most having consistent leaders who can know them and can be praying for them, we request that volunteers commit to serve on a weekly basis for the year. Volunteers are expected to set up and clean up all areas used, put all supplies and equipment away, and deposit trash in receptacles.

Volunteer Expectations

Attend AWANA leader training (2 sessions).

Submit a volunteer application.

Complete a background check. This will be sent to you via email after we review your application.

Meet with our AWANA directors, Jean or Holly.

Questions?

Yes, childcare will be available for kids age 0-1 while their parents are serving in AWANA.
Yes! The program includes a club for students in grade 6, but if you have students in Grade 7 or beyond, they are welcome to volunteer with us.
Each child will receive a book for the year that will include the story/lesson/verse for that week. It is encouraged to work on those pages throughout the week as a family, and then bring the book on Wednesday to be signed off.
Your AWANA uniform! As part of the registration process, you will have the opportunity to purchase the appropriate uniform (a vest or t-shirt depending on the age group) for your clubber. The uniform becomes a way to showcase your child's accomplishments through earned patches and emblems. We take pride in our clubbers' accomplishments and devotion!
It depends on the age group, but all clubs have some sort of game/activity time, a lesson, smaller group discussion and Bible verse memorization.
Yes, scholarships are available. Please email awana@bravechurch.online to inquire about these. We want anyone who desires to attend to be able to.
